For the Selhurst Park side fans, this occasion may have been a lifetime in the making, however for their manager, it's just another day. Subsequent to claiming the Football Association Cup and the traditional opener, the first major silverware in the club’s history, the head coach who joined with the Eagles in early 2024 vowing he wasn't a magician is getting ready his upcoming challenge: steering Palace to the Conference League final this coming spring.

Euro Campaign Kicks Off With the Ukrainian Side

After being relegated from Europe's second tier when the governing body deemed Palace involved in a club partnership, the team squeaked by the Norwegian outfit in the qualifying round and the road toward the final begins in earnest with the Ukrainian giants in Poland in the upcoming match. This is a match that has been greatly anticipated from the visiting contingent, along with additional passes quickly snapped up for the encounter at the stadium, serving as Kyiv's European base since Russia’s invasion two years ago.

Unbeaten Run coupled with Player Morale

The manager has made efforts to minimize the importance behind the Eagles' impressive unbeaten streak, stressing post the last-gasp success versus the Merseysiders on Saturday reminding everyone of the date, thus no need for hype”.

But as the squad boasting the most extended stretch undefeated across the continent's elite divisions significantly ahead, above top clubs like Barca and Bayern, it's a notable accomplishment to dismiss. Leader the defender shared his thoughts about the faith coursing through the Eagles currently.

“In terms of mindset, yes for sure it’s there,” said Guéhi, who did not want to comment on his failed £35m move with the Reds on deadline day except to express gratitude the Eagles' followers for their continued support. We've experienced winning but we’re definitely not satisfied. All members within the organization aims higher – beginning with Glasner all the way down the athletes. We know what we can do. Who knows if we stay focused, hopefully we can have further openings. Numerous opportunities to accomplish bigger feats.”

Inquired regarding Glasner's effect, the captain stated: Without his presence on the sidelines, we would recognize our roles. There’s one thing that he mentions all the time: it's not the actions, rather the approach. The way in every task is vital. Going down to the pitch with such mental preparation, that mentality, when we face obstacles with that approach, it supports our efforts and maintains our advantage.”

Team Selection plus Continental Experience

The problem for Glasner involves most of the main team has played almost every minute during a hectic season up to now, including defenders like Guéhi and Lacroix, alongside Muñoz and Mateta accumulating a dozen outings by the end of September. Facing a Dynamo Kyiv team boasting a rich history in Euro tournaments over the years, who secured the top division trophy since the war broke out the previous campaign under Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, the ex-shot-stopper earned 92 international appearances for Ukraine, the manager is likely to not risk anything and opt for a full-strength XI.

“We always play the strongest possible side,” said Glasner. “We reward positive contributions, as all members who featured, but also the players who came on in previous matches, deserve to start, and that's optimal for a coach. There are numerous squad members worthy of starting, since they remain in excellent form.”

Fresh Challenge plus Betting Favorites

The Conference League represents a new frontier for Glasner, who would have fancied the prospect of repeating his 2022 success at Frankfurt in Europe had circumstances been different. However Crystal Palace are rated as the top picks to join the Hammers and Blues by becoming another capital city side to claim the title that started recently.

Glasner recognized the Eagles might encounter a unique obstacle when facing teams adopting a defensive stance. “We have the skills to penetrate such defenses in matches,” he said. “You could see in top-tier matches, the Reds managed to get goals along with Chelsea versus Benfica, both teams in close to 70% possession. Yet it doesn't ensure a high score. But we think we have the capability to find the net, regardless of how Dynamo Kyiv will play.”
